Student opportunities and activities
At Minerva School we provide rich opportunities both within and outside of school to help students build skills, make friends and discover new interests. These experiences strengthen confidence, independence and a sense of belonging, and connect directly to each learner’s life and transition goals.
Community partnerships
Sessions at Skillz4Me, CIVIC Industries and SCOPE work experience, community access outings, friendship program with Kirrawee High School and swimming programs, giving students real-world experiences and building work and life skills.
              
              
              In-school initiatives
Our bike maintenance and restoration program, recycling initiative, music program and targeted break time programs promote health, sustainability, creativity and fun!
              
              
              Bike Maintenance Program
Students work alongside Mr Mat our School Support Officer to maintain our school fleet of bikes and restore and recycle discarded bikes.
              
              Friday Music Program
Our students love our Friday music program with Miss Jess from Shopfront, a youth arts community program.
              
              Cultural learning
Activities linked to our Reconciliation Action Plan and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community connections, including the First Nations Student Representative Council Days and our NAIDOC week celebrations.
              
              
              
              Sport and physical activity
Weekly school sport sessions facilitated by external providers, multi sport days and external carnivals and competitions.
